Message from the EditorHello, my name is Luisa Cupeles and I was blessed to be born and raised on the beautiful island of Borinquen / Puerto Rico. At the age of 14 my parents decided to move to the United States with the rest o my relatives. The move was very difficult since I always loved my town of Cabo Rojo and the people that offered me so much love, true friendship and support through the years I lived on the island. I have been living in the United States for 16 years and not a day goes by that I miss the island, relatives and friends. My heart still lives in my Borinquen. Educational Background:
I worked a total of seven years in the mental health field helping dysfunctional families and children. I always had a passion for travel and after the birth of our son Daniel, I decided to pursue a career in travel. I am an independent travel agent and I love to share my passion for Puerto Rico with my clients. I took it a step further and I know have the chance to share my love for Puerto Rioo with thousands of people throughout the world through our websites. Reasons for the creation of our sitesEvery chance I get I tell co-workers, friends and people I have come into contact with, how beautiful the island of Puerto Rico is. ' I would end up convincing them to travel to Puerto Rico and would get into long conversations and lengthy e-mails that informed them of "MUST SEE" attractions, beaches and many of the places that still remain sort of a "secret" to visitors of the island. They would all come back in love with the island, yearning for more and many even looked into real estate for a vacation property or a retirement home. I was amazed at how many people visited Puerto Rico but did not really know what the island was really about. Most people go to highly marketed and highly visited tourists areas such as San Juan and big resort areas. Very few really knew and visited what we the islanders know as "The Real Puerto Rico". I began to search online and I found that most of the sites concentrated in the metropolitan area and mostly marketed the big resorts. My heart was determined to create sites that showed the TRUE Puerto Rico, the most beautiful spots on the island that get very little attention when compared to areas like San Juan. So, I have taken my passion for Puerto Rico and have put it into writing along with photos we have taken in order to show you the best that the island has to offer and that very few visitors get to experience. Puerto Rico has beautiful scenery from corner to corner and you will find that it could take you months to discover this small island with much flavor, beauty, history, adventure and romance. So, please do take the time to visit the sites that I have created in order to show you "The Best of Puerto Rico" and all the undiscovered territory waiting for you to explore.
