Thank you for visiting our website Vieques Travel Guide.com and for your interest in learning more about us. My name is Luisa and I was blessed to be born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.

I grew up in the town of Cabo Rojo, which is located in the southwest corner of Puerto Rico. I've always been very proud of my heritage and feel extremely lucky to be a native of such as beautiful place inhabited by warm and friendly individuals.

As a child I always had an interest on the island of Vieques and paid attention to the news surrounding the Navy's presence on the island. A group of young people from the church I attended made a trip to Vieques and ever since then I always had a special interest on Puerto Rico's Isla Nena (little girl island).

In 1988, my family decided to move to the mainland. No matter how long I have lived in the states, I still miss all of Puerto Rico, it's beauty, it's people, the wonderful weather, and my dear family and friends.

However, I am thankful for all the blessings that I have received living in the United States. I try to go to Puerto Rico as often as I can, in order to catch up with family, friends, the beauty of the island, and to escape from cold winters.

I always had a passion for travel and of course Puerto Rico. I had so much to say about Vieques alone and the island has so much to offer that I decided to write a site exclusively about the island.
